material
The putter face is made entirely of solid brass (CuZn). Brass is 30% more dense than steel and offers a more consistent soft feel at impact. The bended steel shaft from Apollo and the long midsize grips are perfectly matched to the putters.
manufacture
All front pieces of the club heads are precisely milled from one piece of brass with a CNC machine in a very complex process that takes several hours. SmithWorks putters are available with 3 different club head shapes and with a bended Apollo steel shaft in 2 different lenghts.
direction
The alignment lines on the top of the putter support directional control when aiming at the desired target. In addition, the X- milled face provides consistent contact in all conditions and will help disperse any moisture through impact.
distance
The brass gives more mass towards the face which reduces slide at impact and gets the ball rolling quicker. This provides a more consistent soft feel for better distance control. Every putter is precision made to sit perfectly square with 3.5 degrees of loft with a headweight of 365 grams, that can be adjusted with a screw system on the bottom.
stroke
All Rolas RB putters have been weighted to offer a big MOI for stroke and strike stability. RB1 & RB3 are face balanced putters designed for square to square strokes as well as minimal arc (moderate to low). RB2 is a heel toe weighted putter with minimal toe hang for medium to low face arc strokes.
