The website of SmithWorks Europe GmbH uses the online advertising program “Google AdWords” and conversion tracking as part of Google AdWords. The cookie for conversion tracking is saved when a user clicks on an advertisement displayed by Google. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer system. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages on this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can identify that the user clicked on the advertisement and was forwarded to this page. Every Google AdWords customer gets a different cookie. Cookies can thus not be tracked using the websites of AdWords customers. The information gathered using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have chosen conversion tracking. The customers find out the total number of users who have clicked on their advertisement and were transferred to a page fitted with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that enables users to be identified personally. If you do not wish to take part in tracking, you can object to this use by easily deactivating the cookie for Google conversion tracking via your Internet browser under user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
